Currently working on a value framework to help clarify how project-related decision-making flows down the organisation hierarchy and how management reporting can usefully flow back up (in my product area).
Grounding this in the idea of value made the thinking much simpler than it might have been. If we aim to create value through the work we do, then we have the opportunity to measure ourselves and communicate our successes in terms of value created by that work. Not the easiest measures to create – but ultimately the most meaningful.
This 4 lens model provided a great starting point.
